An exciting way to get involved In the HRC Dinner Gala is to provide an item for the Silent Auction. Your name or company name will be prominently displayed along with your donated auction item. Many generous businesses and individuals throughout New England donate items that are auctioned off to raise money for HRC. This is a great way to show your support and to generate interest in your product or service.

Contribute to the Silent Auction

The evening of the dinner begins with guests browsing table after table of enticing items, writing down bids, and even getting into "bidding wars" to win coveted items. Popular items for the silent auction include furniture, home furnishings, artwork, travel and leisure, jewelry, personal care items and apparel. In the past, local restaurants have also added to the excitement by offering to prepare special dinner parties in the homes of the highest bidders. Gift baskets with a theme work very well to bring together a grouping of items to add interest. We're looking for items that will raise the most money for HRC. Every donation makes a difference. And the items that do extremely well are those not likely available to the general public at any price.

What kind of exposure do Auction Donors receive?

Each item will be displayed on the floor to bring maximum attention to the donor and item. The auction floor will be the major site of activity during the first 90-plus minutes of the event. Our Silent Auction team will be setting the floor the day of the event to bring maximum impact to each item.
Every item will be listed alongwith the Donor's name in the Auction Catalog distributed at the event.
If a donor provides marketing materials (business cards, brochures, bios, other point-of-salematerials) we wll display them alongside the item on the Auction floor.
Some of the most exciting, valuable or priceless items may be featured in the live auction segment. These items typically generate a great deal of excitement and exposure during the course of the evening.
